Dinas Emrys is a spectacular Dark Age fortress (Fort of Emrys) in Snowdonia. It is the site of the boy Merlin's struggle against Vortigern and the place where the dragons are imprisoned until released by Merlin's prophecies. The ruins of Vortigern's castle can be seen to this day.
